Green View Garden – Underrated Stop Before Cameron Highlands
When traveling with a big group, you will appreciate that Green View Garden does not charge any entry fees.
The park is not very big but it’s spacious enough for kids to run around and explore. There are small animal enclosures with ducks, rabbits, and goats too.

Highlights
Paddleboats
The boats can only sit kids (and not their parents) but it looks fun to paddle around in a raised pool avoiding other kids in their paddle boats.
So far, you can’t try this paid activity out anywhere else in Cameron Highlands.
Flowers
There are no large roses at Green View Garden but they do have a good variety of different plants including some lavender bushes.
Close to the animal pens are some orange trumpet shaped flowers that attract a lot of nectar-loving birds.
Fruit
While they don’t advertise any self-picking activities here, they do have a section with rows of strawberries.
And there are grape vines by the paddle boats, but these are seasonal.
Birds & Other Animals
While they are not in optimum environments, you can see a quite a few different animals here.
Rabbits, birds (they have a parakeet enclosure in the works), goats, and ducks. Sometimes, the goats escape their pen to wander around the grounds.
By the open seating area, there is a turtle enclosure and koi pond too.
On-site Café
There are two seating areas over at Green View Garden. The first is right after you exit the visitor centre and enter the gardens.
The other is at one end of the gardens in the form of a Japanese-Scandinavian style building. Complete with a small zen garden in the front.
We like the scone sets here (they have chocolate or lavender scones, and both are nice). They also have bento sets and these are just fair tasting but beautifully presented.
Photo Spots
Take your pick of several photo backdrops at Green View Garden. We like that they don’t resort to 3D wall murals.
Among their neat landscaping, they have sculptures and tunnels, giant milk cartons, an old jeep, a train, windmill, a giant dinosaur slide and many others to check out.
Souvenir & Chocolate Shop
The front of the visitor center has some local produce for sale. Inside, there is a section for toys.
They sell ice cream at the counter. And there are shelves stocked with local chocolate, cordial drinks, and other interesting snacks for sale.
And next door is the Avant Chocolate Shop. There’re are even more chocolate products to browse through here. As well as their own ice cream counter.
Entrance Fees
As mentioned, you don’t have to pay any entrance fees to enter Green View Garden. Moreover, they don’t charge for parking either.
What they do charge for are usage of their toilets, but these fares are cheap and well under RM1. Have small change ready to drop into the coin boxes.
Facilities
Aside from the paid toilets, there is plenty of seating around Green View Garden. The park is relatively flat compared to other attractions in Cameron Highlands.
They do have wide ramps throughout the park but not all areas will be accessible for a wheelchair user.
The back of the park where they keep the animals has particularly narrow and uneven footpaths.
Conclusion
We like coming here and we’ve been to Green View Garden a few times already. For what they offer, other places would charge entry fees but the fact that they don’t is really reason not to skip this place.
Another place that we think is great value-for-money is Agro Market.
