Royal Berry Strawberry Park & Café – Try Scones Too!
It looks old from the outside but step inside Royal Berry Strawberry Park & Café, and you’ll find a spacious and charming albeit dimly lit café.
There are only two things you can do at this place – picking your own strawberries and trying their bake goods.
Read this post before you make your visit!
Strawberry Farm
The main produce grown here are the strawberries. And this strawberry farm grows strawberries in soil, rather than hydroponics.
Pots of strawberry plants hang on endless racks that extend all the way from the front to the back of the lot.
There are many levels to climb and explore. It’s quite a workout if you plan to examine each row for the biggest and ripest strawberries.
The left side of the strawberry farm has a charming wooden boardwalk that we think makes for pretty photographs.
And while it’s still cheaper to buy pre-packed strawberries over at Kea Farm Market or similar:
The self-picking rates here are relatively affordable at RM5 per 100g that you pick with no minimum weight required.
We like how lenient the rules are here too. On other strawberry farms, staff may force bigger groups to take several baskets instead of sharing one but the staff here is not strict.
Café
We can see how this café would be filled on weekends. But when we went on a weekday morning, it was empty and quiet.
Their décor is charming with plants and some vintage style furniture around.
Scones weren’t yet available, so we decided to come back later in the afternoon.
When we did come back at around 4pm, there were a big batch of scones ready at the counter – fruit or original flavor.
Our one original scone was heated up in a mini toaster oven, before being shortly served to us with butter and homemade strawberry jam for RM5.
The sizeable scone doesn’t have the typical crumbly texture, but it has a nice buttery taste and fluffy texture. Neither scone nor jam was too sweet.
They do have other pastries available, but we were only interested in their scones. We wanted to try their cheese scones initially, but they did not have these on the day of our visit.
Things To Note
There are about 10 parking lots right in front of the café.
Their squat toilets are clean and simple and cost 20 cent per use. Just drop the correct amount of change in the coin box outside of the toilet.
You can find the baskets for the self-picking strawberry activity by the side of the steps that lead down to the strawberry farm.
We observed that there were more strawberries to pick in the morning than in the later afternoon. They do have staff tending to (and possibly harvesting) the strawberries by the end of the day.

Conclusion
Despite not having a whole lot of activities and attractions to offer, Royal Berry Strawberry Park & Café can still draw customers in with their reasonable self-picking rates, spacious café, and yummy scones.
If you haven’t been here before and want a simple but satisfying experience taking your time to wander around a strawberry farm (while getting some exercise), we think this is a great place to check out.
Plus, like Big Red Strawberry Farm, there are no entrance fees imposed!
