There are some very old and large cacti in this nursery. Some are for sale while others are not.

It is interesting to look at the different varieties of cacti in one place. Prices are clearly labelled in English and Mandarin, and species are usually grouped together neatly.

For succulents, you can get a big echeveria for about RM12 to 28 per pot.

In addition to individual potted specimens, they also sell them in variety pots where you might have 6 different types of succulents in a decorative ceramic pot.

Flowers

Other than cacti, there are plenty of potted flowers to see and buy here. There are anthurium, kalanchoe, hibiscus, chrysanthemums, mona lavender, orchids, etc.

A decent sized specimen can cost RM8 to RM10 per pot. You might be able get a discount if you buy 3 pots or more.

From our experience, we find that plant pots are very affordable here. But so are their potted plants. You can get 4 small pots of succulents for RM10.

Best of all, the staff won’t force you to buy anything if you don’t want to.

Besides gardening supplies, they do also sell typical souvenirs and local snacks. These are at a different section.

Antiques

If it interests you, there is a small collection of antiques to check out right at the back of the shop.

These are kept in display cases and consists of things like old charcoal irons, ceramic bowls, telephones, TV sets and even typewriters.

Entrance Fees

Not only do you not have to pay to park your car in front of this nursery, but you also don’t have to pay any fees even if you’re not planning on buying anything.

Visitors can come in and admire the plants for as long as they like.

Conclusion

Cactus Point is one of few attractions in Cameron Highlands that don’t charge any entrance fees. True, you can’t do much here other than browse through their plants and gardening wares.

But it’s enough for a quick stop. And it’s easily accessible with its own visitor car park and it is level enough for elders to wander around comfortably.

Cactus Valley

Cactus Valley has beautiful landscaping for their thorny residents. But you can’t buy these impressive specimens. And, they do charge entry fees for visitors to explore their space which is multi-level and unsuitable for elders, strollers, and wheelchairs.

Agro Market

If you’re not that into cacti and plan to visit Agro Market, this paid attraction has a smaller section decorated with live cacti too. Other highlights of visiting this place include the aviary where you can feed birds out of your hand!

Cameron Highlands Flora Park

The main attraction at Cameron Highlands Flora Park are the flowers and their spacious layout complete with boardwalks. But they too, have a small but neat cacti section and you can find this right at the top of the park where the café is.
